Joshua Jackson shared an update about his loved ones after losing his childhood home Los Angeles wildfire.
The Doctor Odyssey star’s representative revealed to People magazine on Sunday, January 12, that the 46-year-old actor’s “beautiful” home which he brought back in 2001 was lost in the fire tornadoes.
Sharing an update about his closed ones Jackson said in a statement, “First and most importantly, all the people closest to me affected by the fire are OK.”
“My daughter, my family, my neighbors all made it out safely,” he continued
Even after his loss, Jackson noted that he is grateful for his family’s safety
“Sadly my beautiful home did not survive the fires,” he added. “But today, I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by the people I love.”
Los Angeles has been under a blanket of ash and smoke now for nearly a week and many celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, and Adam Brody have lost homes.
The fire tornadoes in the Pacific Palisade have reportedly taken 11 lives and around 22,000 acres of land have been destroyed.
