In true competitive spirit, Cristiano Ronaldo posed a question that sparked debates across social media: “Do you think I’ll beat MrBeast?” The footballer’s newfound success on YouTube has been nothing short of meteoric. In just a few months his channel has amassed over 67 million subscribers.
While that’s an impressive figure, it pales compared to MrBeast’s staggering 331 million subscribers.MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, responded with his trademark humor and humility. He acknowledged Ronaldo’s immense fanbase but playfully reminded him of the challenge ahead.
He jokingly suggested that overtaking him might not be as easy as scoring a goal. Additionally, as the reigning king of YouTube, MrBeast couldn’t resist offering Ronaldo some professional tips. He suggested the footballer capitalize on his post-match adrenaline by recording quick podcast-style videos sharing his thoughts on the game.
“You’d have so many people wanting to know what you think,” MrBeast said. He also recommended collaborations with other big names like Tom Brady and IShowSpeed, noting that Ronaldo’s star power is unmatched. Moreover, adding to the hype, MrBeast teased a colossal upcoming project with Ronaldo.
While not a lot of details are known, the video is set to release on November 30, 2024. Unsurprisingly, fans are already speculating about what the YouTube titans have in store. Given their track records, expectations couldn’t be higher.

Ronaldo’s leap into content creation has been a resounding success. His channel features a mix of personal and professional content. From playing games with his partner Georgina Rodríguez to sharing candid conversations with former teammates like Rio Ferdinand he has become a true YouTuber.
The star uses his platform to connect with fans in ways that go beyond football. The collaboration with MrBeast, however, marks a turning point. Additionally, in a moment of lighthearted banter, Jimmy poked fun at Ronaldo’s age, joking, “Almost 40! You’re about to die, what’s it like?”
The comment drew laughs from Ronaldo, who responded with confidence: “I’m going to live until I’m 100, just to let you know.” Ronaldo then reflected on his career, highlighting the rarity of playing professional football at 39. “In football, this is a long career because most of the time they retire at 33, 34, or 36,” he said.

During their chat, Cristiano Ronaldo also touched on his retirement plans or lack thereof. “I just want to enjoy. As long as I feel motivated, I keep going,” he said, dismissing any immediate plans to hang up his boots. He even revealed that his son urges him to keep playing, saying, “Dad, hold on a few more years, I want to play with you!”
Moreover, Ronaldo’s commitment to staying motivated and performing at the highest level remains as strong as ever. Their conversation also touched on Ronaldo’s dream of sharing the pitch with his son, Cristiano Jr. MrBeast brought up NBA star LeBron James, who recently played alongside his son, Bronny.
“Are you going to make that happen in the football world?” MrBeast asked. Ronaldo admitted it’s a possibility but not a certainty. “He’s 14 now. Maybe if he starts playing at 17 and I keep going for three more years,” he said, leaving fans excited about the prospect. Currently, Cristiano Jr. plays for Al-Nassr’s youth team, while his father leads the first team in Saudi Arabia.
It’s been a rough few weeks for MrBeast and things are only getting worse, as Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his record as the fastest-growing channel on YouTube by gaining 20 million subscribers in 24 hours.
MrBeast—real name Jimmy Donaldson—holds the record for the most subscribers on YouTube, with 311 million at the time of writing. According to Forbes, in 2022 he was earning $54 million a year, mostly from ads on his YouTube videos.
The YouTuber has been lauded online for his generosity and the quality of the content he’s produced but in recent weeks, he has been referred to as a “fraud” by some for allegedly staging content and accused of knowingly hiring a registered sex offender.
Now Ronaldo could take his crown as the person with the most subscribers on the platform.
